Notes:This is a somewhat disreputable example of the Glow Chief 36 made by Taipan designer, Gordon Burford in the mid 60's. Gordon's company, then based in Adelaide, South Australia, was extremely profilic although not all his engines reached the market (a run of over 1000 crankcases with the desax on the wrong side is reputed to have been cemented into the workshop floor). This engine, showing Johnson and Fox influence was not considered amongst his most powerful. Note that the case bears the capacity, but no name. The example shown in the pictures, while original, is, in the politest ozzie vernacular, "clapped".
